Service Writer - Full Time

 

The Service Writer plays a key role in making Cycle World the best bike store in the world by creating extraordinary experiences for our customers particularly those customers engaging with our Technical Services Team.

 

This position involves serving customers who bring their bikes into our store for service, diagnosing their mechanical issues and providing appropriate technical support or scheduling their repair into our service department. 

 

preferred Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years in the bike industry preferred
  • Experience diagnosing issues, performing technical service or both
  • Ability to learn and use various software
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • A passion for cycling, the outdoors, adventure and fun

Ride Consultant – Full Time

 

The Ride Consultant plays a key role in making Cycle World the best bike store in the world by creating extraordinary experiences for our customers in-store. You will share the stoke every day!

 

The Ride Consultant is responsible for ensuring every customer who enters our store feels welcome and guides them through the purchasing journey for bikes and other products. The Ride Consultant is also responsible for maintaining the store environment to a high standard.

 

preferred Skills and Experience

  • At least 1 year in retail preferred
  • Ability to learn and use various software
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • A passion for cycling, the outdoors, adventure and fun
  • Must be able to work weekends

Service Technician - Full Time

 

This position involves diagnosing and repairing customers bikes and assembling new ones.

 

Our service department operates on a separate level from our retail store and this provides an environment where our technicians can focus on producing the highest quality outcomes for our riders without the distractions of a retail shop floor.

  • At least 1 year in the bike industry preferred
  • Experience diagnosing issues and performing technical service
  • Ability to learn and use various software
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Proven ability to solve unusual problems
  • A passion for cycling, the outdoors, adventure and fun

Lead Ride Consultant, Lifestyle - Full Time

 

The Lead Ride Consultant plays a key role in making Cycle World the best bike store in the world by creating extraordinary experiences for our customers in-store and enabling the rest of our team to do the same. You will share the stoke every day!

 

The Lead Ride Consultant is responsible for ensuring every customer who enters our store feels welcome and for either guiding them through the purchasing journey for bikes and other products or supporting others as they do the same.

As Lead Ride Consultant, you will strategize and execute plans to sustain or grow sales in the lifestyle category and will also strive to constantly improve the retail experience for our customers and the success of our company.

 

The Lifestyle Category is the fastest-growing category in our business encompassing bikes used for active transport, and leisure riding it is now largely made up of electric bikes. As this category expands there are many exciting opportunities to change the way people in Dunedin view the bicycle and what is possible.

 

preferred Skills and Experience

  • At least 2 years in the bike industry preferred
  • At least 5 years in retail or customer service preferred
  • Experience with various software and ability to use excel
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • An understanding of sales strategies and business metrics
  • A passion for cycling, the outdoors, adventure and fun
  • Ability to work weekends preferred
